We’re excited to share the latest updates and enhancements to the Order Management System (OMS) released this quarter. This release introduces mobile accessibility through PWA, AI-powered insights, enhanced payment and fee management, improved order and quote workflows, and greater flexibility for returns and pickup options. All designed to make OMS faster, smarter, and more flexible, enabling distributors and dealers to streamline operations, enhance customer experience, and boost overall efficiency.
OMS is now available as a Progressive Web App (PWA), allowing users to access it on mobile devices just like a native app. With faster load times and smoother performance, distributors and dealers can manage orders seamlessly from anywhere. This update ensures greater convenience, especially for teams working on the go.
Our new AI-powered assistant allows distributors to quickly analyze Orders, Inventory, and Customer reports in a conversational way. Simply ask in natural language to generate, filter, and explore insights, no complex navigation or setup required. This is currently a Beta release, meaning some queries may not yet be supported, but we’re constantly expanding its capabilities in future updates.
Distributors can now showcase and sell custom appliance panels directly through OMS. Dealers benefit by being able to purchase these items conveniently from the portal without separate processes. This feature creates a seamless workflow while expanding product flexibility for distributors. It ultimately helps in offering a wider range of customization to end customers.
Dealers can now directly download the product pick list from the Quote Detail page on the portal. This enhancement saves valuable time and reduces manual coordination between dealers and distributors. By giving users faster access to order information, fulfillment becomes more accurate and efficient. It improves the overall ordering experience for all parties involved.
OMS now supports adding individual components of bundled products to the cart. Dealers no longer need to purchase entire bundles if only a few parts are required, giving them maximum flexibility. This also helps distributors optimize inventory management, ensuring that even partial bundle requirements can be fulfilled efficiently. The result is less waste, more control, and faster order processing.
Distributors can now seamlessly include and display extra costs such as assembly and installation fees in marked-up quotes. This ensures that all pricing details are communicated clearly and transparently to dealers. By removing hidden costs and manual add-ons, this feature creates a smoother quoting process. It also helps strengthen trust between dealers and distributors through accurate cost representation.
Certain door styles may not always be available for pickup due to inventory or logistical constraints. With this update, distributors can restrict pickup availability for specific door styles while showing dealers a clear message about the limitation. This ensures better communication and avoids order confusion. Ultimately, it improves accuracy in availability and strengthens customer confidence at checkout.
To help dealers close more sales, OMS now supports automated reminder emails for abandoned quotes. Configurable templates and multiple timing options (7, 14, or 28 days) ensure timely follow-ups are sent without extra effort. Active quotes are excluded, so only true abandoned cases are targeted. This feature helps re-engage dealers and boosts conversion rates, driving more completed orders.
OMS now allows distributors to apply Payment Fees based on the type of card used - for example, credit cards only or debit cards only, or both. This ensures fees are applied accurately during online and in-person payments through Authorize.net, while maintaining flexibility for different payment scenarios. Currently, Payment Fees are not applied for split payments or company terms, focusing the feature on standard card transactions.
Refund processing is now more flexible than before. Admins can issue partial or full refunds for Labour Charges and Payment Fees instead of being limited to all-or-nothing adjustments. This allows greater accuracy when handling customer requests or special cases. It ensures smoother financial management.
Discount functionality has been expanded to cover Labour Charges, Payment Fees, and Rush Fees, not just products and shipping. This ensures consistent promotional pricing across the entire order. Distributors can now run campaigns more effectively, while dealers enjoy fairer discounts on all components of an order. The enhancement adds flexibility to pricing strategies and helps boost sales.
OMS now supports applying taxes to the Payment Fee in line with other order components. This enhancement ensures more accurate tax calculations during checkout. It also helps distributors stay compliant with financial regulations in different regions. By aligning tax treatment with other charges, the system becomes easier to manage and more reliable for reporting.
We’ve improved flexibility in Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and Claim forms. Admins can now configure key fields such as Item Reason, Condition, Resolution, Additional Information, Attachments, and Uploads as required or optional. This ensures dealers provide complete information upfront, making return and claim processes more precise. It reduces back-and-forth communication and speeds up resolution for both parties.
Managing large numbers of addresses is now easier with the new search function in Step 1 of order/quote creation. Dealers can quickly locate the correct shipping address using keywords instead of scrolling through long lists. This small but impactful update enhances usability, reduces errors, and saves valuable time for teams handling bulk orders.
Distributors now have the ability to enable or disable shipping as a delivery method during order and quote creation. If shipping is disabled, pickup will automatically be applied by default. This provides greater flexibility in tailoring delivery options to business needs. It also ensures dealers only see relevant fulfillment methods.
Store Credit usage has been extended beyond products to include Labour Charges, Payment Fees, Rush Fees, and Extra Fees. Customers now have more flexibility in applying their credits across different order components. This not only improves the payment experience but also helps distributors encourage loyalty and repeat purchases by offering more value for earned credits.
These updates bring significant improvements to the OMS platform, helping distributors optimize their operations and provide a better experience for their customers.
